I didn't say you are gonna get a 15 degree head or close with certain 23 degree heads. But there are a few high flowing nice velocity 23 degree heads out there that can keep up with the tighter angle SBC heads and have the advantage of an unlimited jet rather then a restricted jet . ;)

You weigh the advantages of different combos. It's gonna be damn near impossible to control ntirous jetting with a thousand different shortblock, head and intake combos and power adders. Then ya have the supercharger deals.

Yes it is true with the current rules i dont think a pontiac will run (unless it has a ford motor in it) but i do agree it is impossible to control nitrous jetting all we need a set of rules if the nitrous cars arent fast enough get a blower or vise versa but this crap we have now doesnt work and never will.

Thank you Brian, but that would be a Pontiac motor in a Mustang, or Fairmont. LOL!
(Frickin Pontiac's are tooooo heavy)

The rules don't work for you, but they do for the intended racers. You just want to go quicker (that's great) but many people want a class they can afford to race in. Open rules will just lead to another Outlaw 10.5 or Drag radial class.

But I've agreed to disagree.

Respectfully, I have to ask, how do you conclude that by opening the rules it will lead to another outlaw 10.5 or drag radial class?

Those classes have been, for the most part, totally unrestricted on engine combos.

There are already restrictions imposed in this class to prevent that. We are SB limited, and single plate or blower/turbo size limited.

ORSCA mod street is not an out of control class. Certainly not taking away anthing from Eric as his combo works great, but he won the class in a station wagon with a SB Chevy with an 18*(15*?) head. Up against all those canted valve, billet heads, etc. and everyone was on an unlimited plate.

How is limiting how much I am willing to spray to make my junk work making this affordable?

Jets are only about $7.00, I would bet that 11* killer on the front page was a bit more than that.

If you want affordable heads up racing is not for you. Even in Realstreet These engines cost 20,000+ to build. Even if you think howard's engine is old stuff off the shelf or whatever it still would cost big money to build. Look for realstreet to be 5.20's all day next year with the current rules

This is a EXTREMELY CHEAP Price for this engine. You would pay around to 20K or more to buy a comparable motor.

Anyone who spends this kind of money for a 5.30 bracket engine just might be retarded! If anyone else has 35K to waste let me know, you can have my car turn key for that! I see this is how you keep this a budget class huh??

No Dave you are wrong the rules are just wrong and i told every one so now i am the bad guy. But how is buying a 32000.00 dollar engine keeping cost down??? that is just an excuse, a copout, or just plain weak ass bullshit. the only thing that has happened is now everyone except me and Mike will run .20s and teens and we cant compete because of the bullshit rules. Just admit it Randy paniced and now i have to miss 7 races 100 miles from my house. And Aaron i only got 8900 in my engine
