accident claim help

Long story short an 18 year old girl ran into the side of my moms car last Friday, not a big deal but her driverside door is bent to the point it won't shut right and leaks when in rains. She got the girls name, cell number and insurance info. My mom called her insurance company and an adjuster came out to look at the car and said no big deal I will write it up and you will get approval to get it repaired.
Now the problem appears to be that the girl didn't report it to her INS Co and now they don't want to repair it till she calls them. My mom has left a dozen messages on her cell, called her INS co and has called pcso who told her because it's been 5 days there is nothing they can do???
Any ideas on what my mom should do? She only has liability cause it's an older car.

Since accidents are civil matters unless there is something criminal to it like reckless, DUI, hit and run or (dramatic Obama pause )... street racing... that's out of l.e.o. hands. People can handle accidents by info. exchange. The other chicks company pay have to send her a form letter advising her of the attempted claim.

How much is the total damage? Was the car struck while parked or was somone in it? If so, was anyone injured?

If the little girl doesn't want to play ball, we can send her a nasty "demand letter" from the Slavin Law Firm to pay your Mom personally (if she doesn't want to report the damage to her insurance company).
